About the event

Welcome to Mijas, Spain! Join us in mid-February to escape the Scandinavian winter, soak up the sun, play disc golf, and enjoy great times with the Heatland Discgolf crew.

Registration & Scoring

Registration is done through Tjing.se <- click here
Pros - 1100 SEK
AMs - 900 SEK
An additional non-refundable platform fee (5%) will be added to the costs to support the Tjing-platform.

Extra Optional Deals:
Players Dinner/Party on Satuday: 350 SEK (highly recommended!!)
Ace-Fund: 50 SEK
1 Week Discounted Green Fee: 230 SEK (€50 normally)
Players Accommodation: 2500 SEK (highly recommend!!)

Scoring
Scoring will be done directly through the Tjing-app, which can be downloaded on both Google Play and Apple App Store
You can also do scoring through paper scorecard - please bring your own paper scorecard if that's the case.

Layout and divisions

Amateurs & Pros

Amateurs are expected to recieve a minimum or 150% payout of their registration fees. 
- Green fee three event days. ~350 SEK value
- Tournament t-shirt/polo. ~250 SEK value
- Goodie bag (600+ SEK value) 
- Gift Card at www.heatlanddiscgolf.com ~250 SEK value
Minimum value 1450 SEK (150%++ value!)

Pros will have an added pro purse on XX.XXX SEK.
- Green fee three event days. ~350 SEK value
- Tournament t-shirt/polo. ~250 SEK value
- Added Pro Purse TBA depending on sponsors.

Prizes

AMs : The top 3 of each division will recieve a trophy/medal. Top 3 of each AM division will recieve a gift card at 500 SEK, 300 SEK, 200 SEK.

Pros: The pros will enjoy an added pro purse on 5000-10.000 SEK with a payout to the top 25% of the field. 

Optional ace-fund:  Any aces during all three rounds will share the ace fund. In case of no aces  - the ace fund will be donated to the Paul McBeth Foundation.

Prize Ceremony and Players Party

We have rented a restaurant in central Fuengirola for up to 150 players!
Price: 350 SEK and payment in the registration step (if you have a non-players wanting to attend you can add multiple entries in Tjing).
Location: Details TBA - central Fuengirola.
Food & Drinks: Buffé style food and free drinks.

Award Ceremony
Official prize cermony - top 3 in each division.
Special Prices
- Bogeyman: Most bogeys for the event.
- Eagleboy: Most eagles for the event.
- "Pärtma-priset": The player with the most pars for the event
- Come-back-player: The player with the biggest rating difference in their best and worst round.
- "Mr. Nice Guy"  - The most helpful guy/girl on the course.
- "Best Photo" - The best photo posted on Instagram. (Must be a post so we can find all again :) Tag @heatlanddiscgolf and @heatlanddiscgolfevents)
- Random raffles: During the evening, we will draw random prizes for everyone at the dinner at a minimum value of 5000 SEK.
- Trivia Quiz: Top 5 winners get prizes at a value of minimum 5000 SEK.

Players accommodation

We have booked accommodation for 120 players in Fuengirola (12 minutes by car to the course) where we will enjoy each others company, bonding and having good times together! 
Price:
Shared Bungalow - 2500 SEK and payment in the registration step (if you have a non-players wanting to attend you can add multiple entries in Tjing).
Private Bungalow - Do you prefer to have your own Bungalow or split it with 2 people only? Contact us for price inquiry.
Extended Stay - Would you like to arrive earlier and check out later? Contact us for price inquiry. 

Dates: The reservation is between February 16th (Tuesday) to February  21nd (Sunday). Check in 4PM, Check out 1 PM. 
Location: Central Fuengirola.
Details: The accommodation is a budget friendly alternative, where all players live together in a "Bungalow area". Each bungalow is a 33m2 two bedroom that fits 4 people.
Includes: Free wifi, microwave, AC, fridge, coffee maker/nespresso, shower, toilet, toaster, tv, dishwasher, sheets and towels.
Sleeping arrangements: Each bungalow has 4 beds, that can either split up to 4 single beds or 2 double beds.
Breakfast: Not included. Breakfast deal available for 10.5€/day.
Communication: We will setup a dedicated WhatsApp group for the player accommodation to have easy communication for us all.
Questions and wishes for living arrangement: If you have any requests on living arrangement (who you want to share the bunaglow with) please contact Michael Bui at michael@heatland.se and we will sort it out.

We are in Spain in the middle of the Scandinavian winter - let's just enjoy our time here together with sun, fun, disc golf, great conversation and just a good time. 
Looking for fun stuff to do before/after your round? We have that covered with putting competitions, distance competition and other fun activities led by our "Fun Manager" Marcus Frankler at camp site!
Our "Fun Manager" will have planned activities for people wanting to explore Costa Del Sol or maybe do some other fun activities together!

Friday: Free Group Dinner & Optional After-Party in Fuengirola
Join us for a fun evening out as we head to a restaurant in central Fuengirola to enjoy dinner together. Afterward, you can choose to continue the night at one of the local bars for an after-party, or head back for a well-earned early rest.

Travel recommendations & Budget

Cheap Flights
Getting to Málaga doesn’t have to be expensive. You can often find return flights for around 2,000–3,000 SEK (€170–250) from cities such as Oslo, Gothenburg, Copenhagen and Helsinki.

We recommend checking Skyscanner and comparing low-cost carriers such as Ryanair, Norwegian and SAS.

Tip: Book early! Flight prices normally increase as the event gets closer.

Getting Around
For maximum flexibility, we recommend renting a car at Málaga Airport. Car rental is usually very affordable in February, with prices sometimes starting from around 200–300 SEK (€20–30) per day.

If you don’t want to rent a car, Uber, Bolt and taxis are also affordable -especially when splitting the cost between a few players.

Accommodation
We strongly recommend staying with us at the official Heatland To Mijas accommodation, where we have booked an entire holiday park for the event.For only 500 SEK per night, you get affordable accommodation together with other players, plus included dinners, activities and plenty of good times with around 100 fellow disc golfers.

There are usually plenty of players with rental cars as well, making it easy to coordinate rides to and from the course.

Prefer your own accommodation? Airbnb and hotels in Mijas and Fuengirola are also great options and can be very affordable during February.

Food & Drinks
Food and drinks are generally cheaper in Spain than in the Nordic countries. Eating out is affordable, groceries are reasonably priced, and restaurants, cafés and bars offer plenty of options for different budgets.

Total Budget
Overall, Heatland To Mijas can be a surprisingly affordable disc golf trip, especially when travelling with friends and sharing accommodation and transportation.

Including flights, accommodation, food, local transport and event registration, most players spend around 10,000 SEK (€900) for the full trip. If you book early and keep costs down, it’s possible to do the entire trip for as little as 7,000 SEK (€620).

Refund Policy

Heatland Discgolf AB is responsible for all refunds/cancellations.

- Entries cannot be exchanged/transferred to anyone else.
- Official withdrawal must be written to michael@heatland.se to be eligible as an official withdrawal.
- Waitlisted players who do not get a spot in the event receive a 100% refund.
- 100% refund if there’s more than 14 days before the tournament day.
- 0% refund of tournament fee if there’s  14 days or left before the tournament day. However, you are eligible for the players pack valued at 1100 SEK excluding any potential shipping costs. Accommodation and player dinner fees are not refundable if it's less than 14 days left.
- Any player who fails to officially withdraw receieves no refund.
- Processing fees from Tjing and Stripe is not refundable.
